Team Building
Our scavenger hunts are an excellent team building idea for your group.
In our years of experience serving the corporate market, we have found that there are different types of team building games, and we consider them to fit into one or both of these categories:
Type 1: Team building activities are experiences that can be used for fun and relationship-building. When a group goes offsite and has a positive experience, these shared adventures create a "buzz" upon return to the office. These kinds of team building sessions bond people together to create stronger friendships and inter-personal relationships and helping participants better communicate and work as a team upon returning to the office. Our scavenger hunt is an excellent choice for a Type 1 experience, as it is both high-energy and highly inclusive, meaning everyone (even the event planner!) gets to play.
Our clients always enjoy their Type 1 team building experiences because Scavenger Hunt Anywhere insists on always understanding our audience. We like to know your group's level of competitiveness, their demographic, and the degree to which they work together on a daily basis as well as their openness to having fun together in a team building environment. Based on this information, we may make subtle changes to our content and the way we run your scavenger hunt. This ensures that your group will have the best possible team building adventure together.
Type 2: The second category of team building activities is the kind that can function on a second level as an experiential learning program. In addition to the benefits described above, your team building scavenger hunt can be a developmental experience in which participants learn how to work more effectively together. The client usually has specific team building objectives, such as improving communication, strategic planning, or thinking outside the box. We can help your group make the connection between skills and attitudes used in the scavenger hunt and how to apply them to the workplace, by means of a facilitated debrief discussion.
Our clients benefit from their Type 2 team building sessions because we spend extra time and focus to understand their business objectives. Our corporate training background gives us insight into the challenges that corporate groups face as they increasingly must rely on each other to get the job done. Based on what you hope to get out of the session, we customize parts of the team building scavenger hunt so that participants will be looking for examples of actions that exemplify the desired workplace skills or actions, for example, time management.
After the hunt, participants share these examples with the entire group with the help of a skilled facilitator. The facilitator also helps the group identify ways to work more effectively upon return to the workplace. Some examples of business skills that are used in our team building scavenger hunts and that can be the subject of a debriefing include: communication, leadership, teamwork, collaboration, strategy, planning, prioritization and creativity, as well as problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Our extensive background in providing team building for corporate groups of all types gives us the unique ability to provide team building games that are fun, active, stimulating and most importantly, contribute to your ultimate goal of happy, healthy, productive employees.
